Memories Shared, Standing on Your Balcony
BY SHELLY BRYANT I MARCH 30, 2010
Though I’ve never been to
Glasgow, I stand there
With you on your balcony
Overlooking your city
its drifting traffic
In afternoon’s sudden bright
remembering your lost love
from that day now grown old
that day in a country glen
From your balcony
Jumping into the sun
To fly, to burn
An unweighted plunge
Left only those lines,
to tinge the faded shadows
