Months ago, while bored, I threw the idea for “Are We Dead Yet?” at Blake who jumped on board immediately.  With his artistic talents and our collective excess of zombie knowledge, the idea blossomed into the six-panel web comic we present to you today.  The process of coming up with ideas and story titles was more challenging than I had anticipated, but, in the end, seeing the result is quite rewarding.  Blake has mastered the formula for pulling images out of my head and bringing them to life/raising them from the dead, in a manner of speaking.

The first chapter in our story finds our heroes, if we can call them that, stranded on the highway and making their way to a rest stop in search of a new mode of transportation.  Outside of these basic introductory facts, the reader won’t know much else to begin, and initially, neither did we.  Fear not, we have almost completed the first volume of A.W.D.Y. and hope that you will follow the duo on their adventures as they put the dead to rest once and for all.  We hope to get three new chapters out per month; bear with us if we fall a little behind here and there as we do have lives and jobs outside of this.  Don’t get me wrong, though, I’d much rather be weaving stories than working at my job, and I will continue to produce such stories until…well…who knows?

Bottom line,  I really hope you all enjoy  A.W.D.Y. , a blend of campy humor and gore that was born of two minds filled with Bruce Campbell and George Romero films.  Keep reading, and send us some feedback if you get a chance, we’re dying to know what you think…was the “dying” joke too much?
