DAVID GLENN COX
Born: December 16, 1956, Chicago, Illinois
Earliest memory: 1960 Presidential campaign
Lived in: Dallas, Texas November 1963; Montgomery, Alabama 1965; Chicago, Illinois 1968.
Politics is in his blood; his father was an engineer and Chicago District Committeeman.
His grandfather was a labor leader and union organizer.
His mother was an election judge and polling official for over a quarter century.
In 2006, he won a Chicago Style citation for an article entitled, "Wind Turbines, Bad?", lampooning Fox News coverage of a lawsuit to stop construction of a wind farm.
He is a featured writer for Progressive Independent; his articles have been headlined in the Op-ed News and Information Clearinghouse, and he has been published by The Huffington Post as well as Crooks and Liars. He is also a frequent contributor to Bellaciao, a European-based news website, and he is the author of the soon-to-be-published novel The Servants of Pilate on the Aardvark Press.
His short story, "My Last Day of Work," has been published by three literary magazines and is under consideration as the basis of a film by an Independent film producer in Hollywood. His powers are still on the ascendancy; he can make you laugh or cry, and even better still, he can make you wonder why.
